The next intake of this course starts on the 3h August 2026 runs for 45 weeks (10 months), 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) with core hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm. 

 The programme is made up of 2 separate qualifications being:
New Zealand Certificate in Diving (PADI Open water, advanced and Rescue certifactions)

New Zealand Diploma in Professional Scuba Instruction (PADI Divemaster, PADI Instructor, PADI Specialty instructor)

 

Subject to eligibility with Studylink, you can apply for a Student Allowance  and or living expenses for the duration of the programme & Course Related Costs to assist you with equipment requirements 

 

Course fees are eligible for student loan 

 

Pre Requisites

 

You will need the PADI Recreational dive medical signed by a medical practitioner. (Even if you answer no to all of the questions it is an NZQA requirement for this to be signed. )This medical must remain valid (less than 12 months old) for the duration of the course, so it is recommended you wait until a month or so before the start date to have this signed off to avoid it expiring before the end of the programme 

 

Students must be 18 by the time they start the Divemaster training 

 

Be able to swim 200 meters non stop and tread water for 10 minutes unassisted 
 

Fees and Equipment 

The  fees for this course are $20 939 fees can be paid via a student loan

 

Students are expected to purchase their own dive gear throughout the course. You are able to use our hire  gear (subject to availability )while you build up your own kit of gear.   We offer discounted student pricing and flexible payment options to help you build your dive equipment kit through out the course
