The Descent™ S1 Smart Buoy is an innovative diver communication and monitoring solution designed to enhance safety, awareness, and connectivity between divers and surface crews. Seamlessly integrating with the Descent dive ecosystem, the S1 enables real-time diver tracking, monitoring, and messaging, providing valuable oversight during recreational, technical, training, and professional dive operations.
Using advanced sonar networking technology, the Descent S1 can support up to eight networked divers, allowing topside crews to monitor critical dive information such as depth, tank pressure, and diver location. Divers equipped with compatible devices can also view their distance and direction back to the buoy, providing a convenient return-to-base reference and increased situational awareness while underwater.
Through the companion dive app, surface crews and divers can exchange preset messages, helping improve communication when conditions change or important information needs to be shared during a dive. After surfacing, divers can review underwater heatmaps showing their approximate dive paths and areas explored.
Built to withstand demanding marine environments, the Descent S1 features a rugged, impact-resistant design, secure wireless connectivity, and multi-GNSS positioning support for reliable surface tracking.
